The benefits of MJ Total Hockey’s Virtual Zoom Program

  • On average, during a shooting class your athlete will engage in 12-20 shooting drills resulting in over 450 shots per class (yes, we’ve counted!)
    • No matter how good your on ice coach is at managing a practice, you will not see that volume of reps during a practice.
    • All aspects of shooting are addressed, including deception, fakes, shooting off a pass, accuracy, weight shift/transfer, and more.
    • Discussion on the use of flex points and weight shift, allowing players to cognitively understand the “process” of shooting.
    • Clear and precise directions and instruction for each and every drill – MJ athletes remain on-task for the entire hour
  • Zoom allows for time to focus on “specific” areas of skill work that are not addressed and often overlooked during a practice, for example:
    • Specific stick handling instruction with age appropriate modeling and design (modifications given to the younger athletes)
    • Working on specific moves and stick skills that again are not often touched on during a team practice
    • Comprehensive explanations and videos showing the translation from at-home training to on ice execution
  • Fitness Component
    • Body weight movements that introduce your athlete to the foundations of general fitness
    • Warm-up routines/exercises that can be used as a pregame routine
    • Increased aerobic and anaerobic capacity for each athlete
