The benefits of MJ Total Hockey’s Virtual Zoom Program
- On average, during a shooting class your athlete will engage in 12-20 shooting drills resulting in over 450 shots per class (yes, we’ve counted!)
- No matter how good your on ice coach is at managing a practice, you will not see that volume of reps during a practice.
- All aspects of shooting are addressed, including deception, fakes, shooting off a pass, accuracy, weight shift/transfer, and more.
- Discussion on the use of flex points and weight shift, allowing players to cognitively understand the “process” of shooting.
- Clear and precise directions and instruction for each and every drill – MJ athletes remain on-task for the entire hour
- Zoom allows for time to focus on “specific” areas of skill work that are not addressed and often overlooked during a practice, for example:
- Specific stick handling instruction with age appropriate modeling and design (modifications given to the younger athletes)
- Working on specific moves and stick skills that again are not often touched on during a team practice
- Comprehensive explanations and videos showing the translation from at-home training to on ice execution
- Fitness Component
- Body weight movements that introduce your athlete to the foundations of general fitness
- Warm-up routines/exercises that can be used as a pregame routine
- Increased aerobic and anaerobic capacity for each athlete
